Phoenix

The darkness swept across,
Sunset becomes a distant memory
My midnight thoughts
Rise to destroy, such treachery.

Repetition beyond logic,
How I curse myself through humanity
Mistakes rule over,
Minute fallacies hold such gravity.

My immature self,
How clever my mind comprehends itself
Such knowledge I hold
Surely, my conclusions equal the truth?

Yet, my greatest flaw lies in the open
My juvenile mind remains frozen,
Infinite possibilities lie waiting
Beyond the moors of self-doubt.

Humanity lacks symmetry,
I feel the cool breeze of freedom,
Shackles of society no longer bind me,
Intrinsic strength, oh my savior!

My new power, I crown myself
Limitless potential, I step into my fate
Unseen dimensions, future lies waiting
The border of love lies near hating.

I watched my world burn alight,
How mercy falls through at night,
The flames release the new me
My phoenix rose at divine decree.
