I close my eyes,
Dissatisfaction- the enemy of man,
I dream of the glorified past
Bleak future can never surpass.
Oh, those golden memories of laughter,
Unappreciated events, I’d encounter
Incomparable flickers of life
Such highlights, my nostalgia increases.
Fluttering moments, time races
Lackluster attitude, pessimistic mind rages
Rewinding memories- why compare?
Bask in life’s present flair.
Look, how the midsummer flower blooms
How those stars seem relumed,
Memory again elevates my starting
Through the tinted glasses I glance back.
Oh, recurring mistakes of man,
Yesterday is as gone as today
Such melancholy, I lose myself
The present gifts itself away.
To breathe the earthly monsoon grass,
To stroll the bustling sunset path,
Pieces of day forge into a grand page
The present life holds much blessing.
Open wide to the morning sun,
Smile away at your companions
The joy of living lies in shared moments,
The gift of life dwells in the present.
